- I have a friend that is trying to install Workbench 3.1 into an Amiga 3000/16
- system. (When he is done it will be an A3000 with an A3640 and
- AmigaOS 3.1 in it).
-
- Anyways, his A3000 has a Rev 7.3 motherboard that came with a ROM Tower. The
- ROM Tower had the pre-2.04 Kickstart boot ROMs installed in it.
-
- The problem is that we cannot get the system to work with the Kickstart 3.1
- (v40.68) chips. Actually, they are the new 'Kick-It' board-chips.
-
- Someone on the IRC has told me that we might need to get different ROM chips
- for this type up setup, and I will investigate that. I am curious to know if
- anyone else with this type of configuration has gotten AmigaOS 3.1 running,
- and what kind of problems they ran into.
